We were hoping to move to France this year, but with our businesses based in the US, the tax situation would have been a financial nightmare. Even with our EU citizenship. So now we’re just visiting for a few months instead…

Our first stop in France was Paris — and Poofy loved it! 🐈❤️

MEXICO’S BEST CENOTES! 🦎

An entrance to the afterlife? Sacred place for human sacrifice? Or just a fun place to go swimming/diving?

Swimming in Mexico's cenotes (freshwater sinkholes) is one of my favorite things to do in the Yucatan Peninsula! It's estimated there are about 6000 hidden in the jungle -- we always try to visit a few new ones on each trip.

We've been down here for the past month, photographing some new cenotes for the blog, to help you discover both popular & off-the-beaten-path spots on your next trip to Mexico.

TULUM, MEXICO 🇲🇽🏖

We’ve regularly been traveling down to Mexico’s beautiful #RivieraMaya for many years. And we always spend at least a few days in #Tulum.

2. The incredible Cenote Taak Bi Ha, one of our favorites in the area. You can scuba dive in these caves too…

3. The ancient ruins of Tulum. A Mayan city that sits on a cliff overlooking the sea. Gotta go early to avoid crowds!

4. Mexican law guarantees public access to all beaches, but hotels in Tulum don’t want you to know that. Many attempt to charge fees anyway, in exchange for using their lounge chairs.

5. The stunning white sand beaches of Tulum from above.

Mr. Q is just one of the people I met while trekking over 100 miles through the mountains of Afghanistan's Wakhan Corridor.

He makes his living as a shepherd, watching over 1000 sheep & 400 yaks. He sells them to traveling merchants from Kabul.

We were invited into his stone shelter for salty yak milk tea (it's an acquired taste...) and flat bread before continuing on our journey. 😃

I'm going to be digging through my archives to share more images from #Afghanistan over the next few weeks.
